Quoteface — policy
Content License
This page sets out who owns what. The short answer is that you own your content and your finished proposals, and the licence you grant us exists only so the service can do what you asked it to do.

You own your content
Everything you put into Quoteface — the sentence you type, the scope you write, your terms, your dates, your figures, and the reference images you upload — remains yours. We claim no ownership of any of it.
The finished proposals you produce are also yours. You may send them, print them, publish them, put them in a portfolio, and use them commercially, without further permission from us and without any payment to us.
There is no attribution requirement on a paid plan. A proposal you export does not have to say it was made with Quoteface, and it does not carry our mark. Free plan exports carry a watermark, which is a plan limit rather than a licence condition.
The licence you grant us
So that we can run the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display and adapt your content.
That licence is limited to these purposes and no others:
- 01Providing the service to you — structuring your text, generating page bases, setting your type, producing your exports.
- 02Keeping backups and maintaining the integrity of the service.
- 03Investigating a support request you have raised, where we need to look at the content to answer it.
- 04Investigating a report of a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, or complying with a legal obligation.
It is not a licence to publish your content, to show it to another user, to use it in marketing, or to use it to train anything. It ends when your content is deleted.
Never for training
Your content is not used to train, fine-tune, evaluate or improve any model, ours or anyone else's. That covers the text of your quotes, every amount and date in them, and every reference image you upload.
Where a third-party model provider is involved in producing a page base, our contract with them forbids retaining your content for training or for any purpose of their own, and requires deletion after processing.
If we ever wanted to change this, we would have to ask you for specific, separate, opt-in consent. Continuing to use the service would not amount to consent, and we have no plans to ask.
Caching and how long copies persist
While you are working, copies of your content sit in a processing cache so pages can be regenerated quickly without re-uploading everything.
- Processing caches are cleared automatically within 30 days.
- Deleting a proposal removes it from the live service immediately, and from backups within 30 days as those backups roll over.
- Closing your account removes your content within 12 months, or sooner if you ask us to erase it.
The Privacy Policy sets out the full retention schedule, including the records we are required by law to keep for longer.
What you promise us about your content
By putting content into Quoteface you confirm that:
- You own it or have the rights needed to use it here.
- It does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Any image you present as an example of your work is your own work, or work you have the right to show and are describing honestly.
- Any identifiable person in an image has consented to it being used this way.
- It does not breach the Acceptable Use Policy.
If a third party makes a claim against us because content you supplied broke one of those promises, you are responsible for that claim, except to the extent it arises from something we did wrong.
The generated page bases
A page base is a wordless layout — blocks, rules, margins and white space. We grant you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the bases generated for your account within your own proposals and other documents, including commercially.
You may not resell the bases as stock artwork, redistribute them as a template product, or use them to build a competing layout service.
Generated layouts are not unique to you. The same composition may be produced for someone else, and we make no claim that any base is original or exclusive. What makes a proposal yours is what you wrote on it.
Anonymous signals
We keep counts that carry no content and identify no one: how many pages were generated, how often a base was regenerated, how many exports completed, and which errors occurred.
These are aggregate figures. They contain none of your wording, none of your figures, and no personal data, and they cannot be reversed into your content. We use them to work out which parts of the service are failing people, and nothing else.
Removal, and reporting infringement
We may remove content that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy, that infringes someone's rights, or that we are required to remove by law. Where we can, we tell you what was removed and why, and give you a way to respond.
If you believe content on this service infringes your rights, write to support@hopescoaccounting.com with the material, a description of your rights in it, and your contact details. We investigate, we remove infringing material, and we close accounts that infringe repeatedly.
